SV’s Chair joins Programme Committee of Second UN Data Forum

The Chair of Southern Voice, Dr Debapriya Bhattacharya, has been invited by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) to join the Programme Committee of the second UN World Data Forum, to be hosted by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority of the United Arab Emirates at Dubai next year (21-24 October 2018).
Convened by the High-level Group for Partnership, Coordination and Capacity-Building for statistics for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (HLG-PCCB), the committee is responsible for providing advice on the programme of the Forum, including inputs on selection of topics, composition, content and format of the panels, and recommendations on key speakers.
Members of the committee are expected to advise how contents of the Forum maybe communicated to relevant audiences.
