Ajit Mishra is the current Director of the Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi, India. After completing his PhD from the Delhi School of Economics in 1994, he has been actively engaged in research and lecturing over the last twenty-five years in several areas of economics: economic development, public economics, and economic theory. Prior to joining the Institute, he taught at the University of Bath, UK. Besides Bath, he has taught at various institutions including University of Dundee, UK; Scottish Graduate Programme, University of Edinburgh, UK; Delhi School of Economics, Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, and Ashoka University, India.
