Enock Nsubuga Will Bulime joined the Economic Policy Research Centre in February 2020 as a Young Professional in the Research Department. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics (2020) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Development Economics (2017) from Makerere University.
His master’s thesis Public Debt Sustainability: Estimating the Fiscal Reaction Function for Uganda (1981/82 – 2016/17) examined the sustainability of Uganda’s public debt. He also worked with the Centre as Volunteer Research Associate (2019), Graduate Intern (2019) and Undergraduate Intern (2015).
He has worked on a wide range of issues – from public debt sustainability, economic determinants of unemployment in East Africa, the enabling environment of Uganda’s labor market, the African Continental Free Trade Area and the potential effects to the East African Community (EAC) countries and fiscal rules implementation in the EAC.
He is an author or coauthor of several reports, articles, blogs and commentaries on the aforementioned issues.
Mr. Bulime received the meritorious Young Professional Award of Makerere University and Economic Policy Research Centre in 2020 as the best Master of Arts in Economics student. He is a member of the Uganda Economic Association. His research interests are in Public Economics, Public Finance, Health Economics, Macroeconomics and Trade and Regional Integration.
