Gurpreet’s areas of research interest include rural livelihoods, agricultural financing, value networks and climate change. He possesses understanding of changing livelihoods under dynamic economic and social rural landscape. He has been working with farmers’ community for last four years and has in-depth knowledge of various agrarian issues in the field. At CBGA, he is working on agricultural financing and capacity building of agricultural community in the select states of India. Previously, he was working as Associate Fellow at Centers for International Projects Trust (established by Columbia Water Center, USA). He also held a position of Post-Doctoral Research Associate (PDRA) in Cambridge University, UK funded project. He has also worked for Institute of Social Studies Trust (ISST) and National Institute for Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP) as Consultant. He has completed his Ph.D. in Economics from Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University.
