Mr. Laichena, is an expert Policy Analyst on Environment and Natural Resources issues, with over fifteen (15) years professional work experience with the KIPPRA (Policy Analyst), The National Treasury and Planning (Economist), KNBS (Census Supervisor) and Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (Senior Research Officer and Head of Research Department). His policy analysis and research experience and interest mainly cover policy issues in environment and natural resource management, particularly the sustainable use and management of natural resources, exploitation of mineral resources and the link between economic and ecological issues and poverty-environment nexus. Other areas of interest include Environmental Resources valuation, climate change issues and disaster risk management.
