Md. Kamruzzaman joined BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University as a Research Associate in January 2019 and is now working as a Senior Program Associate under the Economic Growth and Development Cluster. He is currently involved with an experimental research to evaluate the Women’s Skills Development for Freelancing Marketplaces (WSDFM) project’s effectiveness in the training and mentoring of young women from underprivileged backgrounds to become freelance ICT professionals, implemented by Coders Trust and funded by Porticus. He is also engaged in documenting implementation process of Financial Education Training and the Effect on the Knowledge and Practice of Financial Management of Microfinance clients of BRAC.
Previously, he worked at the Research and Evaluation Division (RED) of BRAC as a Research Associate, and at Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB). He has a Master’s degree in Anthropology from Rajshahi University, Bangladesh. His research interests include poverty, adolescent and skills development, financial inclusion, disability inclusion, agriculture, and public health. His publications include journal articles and working papers.
