Meghna joined Accountability Initiative (AI) as a Research Associate with the Public Finance team in January 2018. She is currently working on a project in collaboration with the World Bank that looks at the benefit incidence of health and education expenditure by the government in Rajasthan and Odisha. Prior to working at AI, Meghna worked at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP) where she worked primarily on public finance related projects. She was part of the NIPFP research team that assisted the Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Review Committee led by Dr N.K. Singh. She has also worked on projects related to state finance evaluation and fiscal decentralisation. Her core areas of interest are macroeconomics and public finance. Meghna holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the Symbiosis School of Economics, Symbiosis University in Pune.
