Mr. Jossy Muhangi joined EPRC as a communication officer in April 2019. Mr.  Muhangi previously worked as a consultant/content developer for the East African Community 50 Million African Women Speak Digital Networking Platform, Senior Public Relations Manager Uganda Wildlife Authority and a chief News editor for Radio West Limited. Mr. Muhangi began his career at the Vision Group as a writer, bureau chief and editor and later served as regional correspondent for Uganda Radio Network, country correspondent for Senegal- based African Press Agency (apanews). He also served as a journalist’s trainer under Panos Eastern Africa and helped with the formation of press clubs in Uganda and Tanzania. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass communication from Makerere University and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) majoring in Project Planning and Management from Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU). He also acquired a certificate in International Criminal justice reporting from the Swiss Hirondelle Press Agency. He is a life member of the Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU) experienced in corporate public relations and stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation and social media management. His interests are in wildlife conservation, environment, and tourism and gender empowerment.
