Ricardo Fort has a PhD in Economic Development from the University of Wageningen (Holland) and a Master in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA). In recent years, he has alternated his work as a researcher with direct participation as a public official in various instances of the State.
He is currently principal investigator at GRADE, where his work focuses on issues related to Rural Development and Agrarian Economy. His recent research projects include the analysis of various strategies of small rural producers to improve their relationship with markets and increase their living standards, as well as in the design and measurement of the effects of public policies.
