Dr. Sajid heads Policy Solutions Lab at Sustainable SDPI. Prior to joining SPDI, he was Senior Research Fellow at Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE). His research interest and published work involve issues related to monetary policy, economic growth and sustainable development. Dr. Sajid is part of many public sector committees including Working Group on Macroeconomic Framework-Growth, Investment & Saving; Working Group on Economic Governance and Institutional Reforms [Planning Commission of Pakistan], Working Group on Promoting Remittances Inflows through Legal Channels [Ministry of Emigration and Overseas Employment], and Economic Seed Community of Pakistan [Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Pakistan]. He is also a member of the South-South Global Thinkers, initiative of United Nations South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC). He has led the development of SDGs Localization Frameworks for Punjab and Balochistan. Dr. Sajid is a member of visiting faculty at National Institute of Management at National School of Public Policy, Islamabad, Foreign Service Academy, Pakistan Institute of Development Economics, and National Defense University. He also regularly contributes to print and electron media on issues related to economic policy. Dr. Sajid holds a PhD in Economics.
