Simonti’s research interests include public finance, rural development, agriculture and climate change. Currently, her work in CBGA focusses on a project on building an Open Data Portal on Budgets in India. Prior to joining CBGA, she has worked as a Researcher at the Centre for Development Economics (CDE) with the Delhi School of Economics on a project ‘Localized Power Structures, Conflict and Poverty’. She has a Masters and M.Phil degree in Economics from the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
