Southern Voice’s network member Maam Suwadu Sakho-Jimbira, currently a researcher at Initiative Prospective Agricole et Rurale (IPAR) in Senegal, has been recently appointed as Member of the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) by the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD).

The announcement came at a High-Level Meeting on ‘Data for Development in Africa’ on 29 June in Nairobi, where the 17 members of GPSDD’s newly established Board were also named. The Board is comprised of representatives of the civil society, private sector, UN and governments.

The Technical Advisory Group (TAG) is expected to render sectoral and working level expertise on areas such as open data, statistics, citizen voices, earth observation technologies and remote sensing.
