Monitoring & Evaluation in Education Sector under Proposed Sustainable Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) partnered with Alif Ailaan and the Academy of Educational Planning & Management (AEPAM) to host a seminar on the Monitoring and Evaluation of the proposed Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) on Education. The seminar took place on 31 August 2015 in Islamabad.

The speakers were Abid Suleri, SDPI; Vaqar Ahmed, SDPI; Nasir Amin, National Educational Management Information System (NEMIS), Academy of Educational Planning and Management; Mussarat Yousuf, UNICEF; Ahmed Ali, I-Saps; and Mehnaz Aziz, Children’s Global Network, Pakistan.

The seminar helped identify, inter alia, gaps in the monitoring of the education indicators under the MDG phase and related lessons learnt to investigate anticipated challenges for education indicators identified in the SDG Outcome Document.
