In October 2025, Southern Voice will gather the network’s leaders and key partners in São Paulo, Brazil, for our biennial conference under the theme “Reimagining the Global Development Architecture“.

This biennial gathering serves a dual purpose: first, as a platform for knowledge exchange and collective positioning, where think tanks share insights, identify common challenges, and articulate unified positions on pressing global issues. Second, it functions as a catalyst for strategic action, transforming collective knowledge into tangible impact through concrete collaboration pathways and actionable frameworks.

The conference brings together Global South think tanks to translate research and evidence into transformative influence on international development, thereby moving from knowledge production to actively reimagining the development architecture that governs global cooperation.

We will leverage our evidence base to redefine development agendas and transform multilateral systems, ensuring they reflect Southern research findings, knowledge systems, and evidence-based approaches to international cooperation. The Southern Voice Conference 2025 will deliver tangible results that guide the network’s future actions and increase its global influence.
