Southern Voice announces the launch of a new content partnership with the World Economic Forum (WEF)’s Strategic Intelligence unit, now offered to all 71 members across our network. The partnership provides an opportunity to feature and to amplify members’ research and expertise through WEF’s Strategic Intelligence platform, sharing Global South knowledge on issues driving world change.

This August, we kicked off this collaboration with three regional information sessions led by the WEF Strategic Intelligence’s team, introducing members to the platform and outlining how they can leverage it to amplify their work. 

Through the partnership, each member’s research and analysis from their own reports, articles, blogs, briefs, testimony, videos, podcasts, and other formats is automatically integrated into WEF’s system of contextual intelligence, resulting in thematical Transformation Maps. They are “the Forum’s dynamic knowledge and analysis tool for visualising and analysing change in today’s increasingly complex and interdependent world,” and together they cover 280+ key topics such as climate crisis, economic growth, food security, gender equality, global governance, artificial intelligence and more. 

Leveraging human intelligence, expert networks and machine-learning, this platform provides to global decision-makers an effective synthesis of the world’s best expert analysis – and now our members have a seat at that table too. For the Southern Voice network, this opens a valuable opportunity in helping to address persistent knowledge asymmetries and participation deficits that often shape global policy debates. It puts Global South expertise and lived experiences in the agenda, creating another pathway to actively shape the conversations driving change, and helping to bridge the evidence-to-action gap.  

Our members now join 400+ content partners from other leading academic institutions, think tanks and international organisations, and 3,500+ experts across business, academia, civil society, government and media, and will reach more than 1 million platform users globally from the WEF ecosystems and beyond. This will also create opportunities to bring more Global South perspectives and multilingual content to WEF’s audiences, and facilitate access to a broad community of peer learning and exchange, which our network can now access.
