About Gerardo Scherlis

Gerardo Scherlis is a Professor at the University of Buenos Aires and a research fellow at the National Council of Scientific Research of Argentina. He holds a PhD (cum laude) in political science from Leiden University. His research focuses on the organization and regulation of Latin American political parties. His work on these topics has been published in journals such as European Journal of Political Research, International Political Science Review, Party Politics and Latin American Research Review, among others. Between 2016 and 2019 he served as Director of political reform of the Argentine government.
