About Paula Szenkman
Paula Szenkman is the Director of the Economic Development Program of the Center for the Implementation of Public Policies for Equity and Growth (CIPPEC). She was an associate consultant at Kearney for the Middle East on productive development policies and digital transformation; she advised the Saudi G20 Presidency on the digital economy; She consulted for different international organizations and was an Associate Researcher at CIPPEC, leading projects that seek to strengthen the career paths of women in science and technology. Between 2016 and 2019, she held the positions of Secretary of Structural Transformation and Undersecretary of Productive Development of the Ministry of Production and Labor of Argentina, where she led a technical team generating conjuncture, sectoral studies and data for policy decision-making. She was Topic Chair of the G20 Digital Economy Group during the Argentine Presidency. Previously, she was Coordinator of CIPPEC's Economic Development Program (2010-2015), where she led applied research projects and public policy impact assessment. Previously, she worked as an economist at the Export.Ar Foundation, the OAS Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture, among others. She completed specializations in productive policy at Queensland University of Technology (Australia) and Kobe University (Japan, JICA fellow). She is a visiting professor in the Governance, Political Management and Public Management program at the University of San Andrés, and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Auschwitz Institute for the Prevention of Genocide and Atrocities. Paula has a degree in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires, is a candidate for a Master's in Economics from the University of San Andrés, and completed a Postgraduate Degree in Agribusiness from the UBA.
