While these are prominent issues for developed economies, this narrow focus risks overlooking the contrasting priorities of around 85% of the world’s population—the Global South.
This article examines how generative AI worsens information pollution, threatening political and health-related information integrity in India. It calls for stronger oversight, multi-stakeholder engagement, and intermediary accountability.
