Southern Voice has partnered with the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) and the European Think Tanks Group (ETTG), to organise an experts’ Consultation Forum on the future of FAO, in light of the UN Food Systems Summit +2 Stocktaking Moment that will take place from July 24-26.
The Consultation will take place on 27th of July 2023 at 16:30 – 18:30 CEST in a hybrid format, with the aim to discuss the future of FAO with the new leadership bringing on board representatives from FAO, think tanks, academia as well as Civil Society Organisations, farmers’ organisations, indigenous groups and development cooperation practitioners.
The overall aim of the Consultation is to reflect on current food security priorities, and how the FAO can address them, through a dialogue with experts from the Global South and North. The consultation will be fully aligned with the debate and the priorities which will be discussed during the upcoming UN Food Systems Stocktaking Moment.
