AFRICA

The Okwelians was founded in February 2020 from the will of young Cameroonians determined to build a proud, prosperous and united Cameroon. In order to achieve this vision, these committed Cameroonians decided to unite their efforts in an initiative which is able not only to analyze the current challenges facing their country, but also act in an impactful manner to bring about the long awaited transformation.

The Okwelians is therefore not a Think Tank in the classical sense, but a Think Do Tank because it includes an action component, a « Do ». This vision of a tank of ideas and actions has materialized in an institutional format through the LAB and HUB. “The LAB” aims to revitalize the public debate in Cameroon by sharing ideas and opinions on the issues of governance, economy, and society. The HUB embodies the conviction that the human being or rather our humanity is at the heart of any creative initiative.
